What AG item would mean more to you if

DH gave me Kirsten and Kit. I was very surprised with Kirsten and even though she has that greenish look I will always love her. For Valentines her gave me Felicity but DD already had her so I exchanged her for Kit. He also bought me Addy's Cape Island dress off ebay the night I finally won Addy. The dress arrived before her so she was able to be dressed right away.

I'd love to get the Asian AGT or Jess for my birthday or Christmas. My problem is once I get the itch I tend to buy it for myself. I don't mind putting it up for aspecial occasion but DH likes to pick things out himself. He was very busy at work this past Christmas though and he let me get the trunk form Lowes. It's one of my favorite thing too!

My parents got me Kirsten and Sara. I saved up for a lot of their clothes on my own, but Kirsten's work dress was from my mom, and her winter things were from my grandma. I really appreciate that.

I really couldn't bring myself to buy any more doll furnature than what I have, and I only have Kirsten's bed! I'd love her table and chairs and most especially her school desk, but each time I see it, I think that Jess and Sara need clothes first.

Quite honestly, I'd love anything AG as a gift.

I really wanted GT18 and GT26, but I would never have bought them for myself. I already have way more than enough dolls. I have also loved the cabana ever since I first saw it, but somehow it seemed like something made more for kids, so I wouldn't have ordered it for myself. My kids bought these for my birthday and I am SO glad that I have them (the kids and the new toys. [img]smile.gif[/img] )

Addy herself was a gift from my MIL, and when she heard how much I wanted her and the story, she was delighted to get her for me.

I gave my fiancee the idea of getting me either Samantha or Kit plus a few outfits for a wedding gift, so I know if I get one of them from him I will treasure her very much!

Getting Kirsten from my mom when I was six was very special because at the time she was a single parent who didn't have much money and had saved to get her for me.

Now I buy my own AG stuff for the most part, though it means a lot to me that my mom helps me search for items and before I had gotten my dream Lissie would take me to thrift shops and flea markets and help me dig through the piles of toys. It also means a lot to me when she'll find non AG items that are Lissie's size and suggest them to me, as well as encouraging me to collect the mini dolls.

Though the last part may be just to keep me from collecting the large historicals, I don't think she's exactly thrilled that someday in the not so distant future Kaya WILL be joining us. [img]smile.gif[/img]

My Molly is so special because my Mom bought her for me. I remember crying for MONTHS for her and she made me wait till Christmas...fine, thats ok...BUT she didn't give me her until the end of all the presents! I was devastated because I thought I wasn't getting her! Molly still is a special now as she was back then.

I think AG items (or any gift) would be special if it's something that someone bought for me just to be thoughtful. For a while, I've been telling my boyfriend that my Molly needs a summer-y dress (like Kit's green birthday dress), since she mostly has just winter/fall items. So he went out to LA today to get his car fixed, and he also stopped by AGPLA and bought me Kit's outfit for Molly. I was so surprised when he gave it to me!! It was so sweet, and I was touched to see that he actually does listen to me when I yammer on about my dolls!! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] [img]biggrin.gif[/img] [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I think that if my Mom bought me another doll it would be very special, because yesterday she told me that I could ask for a doll for Christmas, even though she had always told me I couldn't ask for another doll after she got me 2.
